Hello STC Middle School Families,

Students will be taking the Iowa Statewide Assessment of Student Progress (ISASP) the week of April 22nd thru 25th.  The ISASP is the summative accountability assessment for all Iowa students that meets the federal requirements for the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). These assessments align with the Iowa Core standards and provide a clear and accurate assessment of student learning outcomes. 

Students complete these assessments on their school-issued iPad.  Please ensure that your child comes to school with a fully charged iPad every day next week.

Encourage your student to be on time and in attendance everyday next week. Students must complete individual tests on the same day that it is started. Please communicate with the middle school office if your child is going to be absent for any reason.

It is important your child feels prepared and confident. Make sure your child gets a sound night's sleep and healthy breakfast from home or at school. Like all school activities and academics, students should be encouraged to do their very best.

Los estudiantes tomarán los Exámenes Estatales de Progreso Estudiantil de Iowa (ISASP) la semana del 22 al 25 de abril. El ISASP es la evaluación de responsabilidad sumativa para todos los estudiantes de Iowa que cumplen con los requisitos federales de la ley llamada Que Cada Estudiante Tenga Éxito (ESSA). Estas evaluaciones se alinean con los estándares básicos de Iowa y brindan una evaluación clara y precisa de los resultados del aprendizaje de los estudiantes.

Los estudiantes toman estos exámenes en el iPad proporcionado por la escuela. Asegúrese de que su hijo venga a la escuela con su iPad completamente cargado todos los días de la próxima semana.

Su estudiante debe llegar a tiempo y asistir todos los días la próxima semana. Los estudiantes deberán realizar pruebas individuales el mismo día de su inicio. Comuníquese con la oficina de la Middle School si su hijo va a estar ausente por algún motivo.

Es importante que su hijo se sienta preparado y seguro. Asegúrese de que su hijo duerma bien por la noche y desayune saludablemente en casa o en la escuela. Como en todas las actividades escolares y académicas, se debe alentar a los estudiantes a hacer lo mejor que puedan.
